Program Options: Helping Parents Give the Gift of Another Language

 

No Spanish experience is needed! Think study abroad for your little one!

Texas Spanish Academy prides itself in offering a nurturing environment that fosters fun and creativity all while learning Spanish and developing school readiness skills. Flexibility in programming is offered year-round through part-time and full-time programs, including school day hours and extended day hours.
Enrollment options include 5-day, 3-day, or 2-day program available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including a school day schedule option of 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for children 18 months and older.

Infant Program, 6 weeks-17 months

  • Low ratios: teacher and a teacher assistant
  • Frog Street Press Curriculum used in planning developmentally appropriate activities in mathematics, literacy and language, science, social studies, (Conscious Discipline), and physical development
  • Children’s Learning Institute Developmental Checklist for ongoing milestone & development tracking
  • Parent conferences offered bi-annually
  • Individualized infant schedules designed to meet individual needs
  • Real time electronic parent reports & messaging via our parent app
  • Full immersion with highly trained native Spanish speaking educators
    • Child Development Associates Credential
    • CPR and First Aid certified
    • Awareness training in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Shaken Baby Syndrome, and Safe Sleep
    • 30 hours minimum of continuing education for all infant room staff
  • Shoe free environment and 4-step sanitation process on all surfaces
  • Provided: personal crib, crib sheets, bibs, burp cloths, diaper wipes
  • Optional: diaper service

Toddler Program, 18 months-2 years

  • Low ratios: teacher and a teacher assistant
  • Frog Street Press Curriculum used in planning developmentally appropriate activities in mathematics, literacy and language, science, social studies, social-emotional (Conscious Discipline), and physical development
  • Children’s Learning Institute Developmental Checklist for ongoing development tracking
  • Progress reports and parent conferences offered bi-annually
  • Total Physical Response teaching strategies to maximize language development
  • Regularly scheduled daily routines and activities
  • Real time electronic parent reports & messaging via our parent app
  • Full immersion with highly trained native Spanish speaking educators
    • Child Development Associates Credential
    • CPR and First Aid certified
    • 30 hours minimum of continuing education for all toddler room staff
  • Provided: morning and afternoon snacks, school supplies, diaper wipes, nap mat
  • Optional: diaper service, catered hot lunch service, gymnastics, dance

Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 Programs, 3 or 4 years old by September 1st

  • Low ratios: teacher and a teacher assistant (small classes that can never be expanded by a state waiver)
  • Accredited at highest level (4 Stars) through Texas Rising Star Program
  • Frog Street Press Curriculum (same curriculum used in local school district programs): mathematics, literacy and language, science, social studies, social-emotional (Conscious Discipline), and physical development
  • Progress reports and parent conferences offered bi-annually
  • Highly qualified educators
    • Child Development Associates Credential and/or Degreed
    • CPR and First Aid Certified
    • 30 hours minimum of continuing education for all Pre-K room staff
  • Small private campus specializing in young students (No mixing of 3 or 4 year olds with older elementary)
  • Continued Spanish language development immersed with a native Spanish speaking teacher
  • Extended daily hours all on one site – no leaving work for early pick-up or mixing with older kids for after-school
  • Provided: morning and afternoon snacks, school supplies, nap mat
  • Optional: catered hot lunch service, gymnastics, dance
  • Few holiday closures (no closure for Spring Break or Summer!)
